Important News for Z-CoiL Wearers


If you love your Z-CoiL shoes, now is the time to buy another pair. For eight years, we have carried extremely high quality Z-Coil shoes manufactured in South Korea. Z-Coil is currently moving their production facilities to China, and these shoes will no longer be produced in Korea. South Korean styles are running out rapidly, and we have been told the Chinese styles will not arrive until Spring 2012. We also know that there will be a price increase of $20+ with the new shoes!  We have been told that the Chinese product will be very good, but we won't know how they will fit, feel or perform until they arrive in Spring. We also don't know if the replacement parts for the Korean-made Z-CoiL shoes will be compatible with the new, Chinese Z-CoiL shoes. In a nutshell, if you love your Z-CoiL shoes, we strongly recommend buying another pair, and tucking it away for a later date. You will get a product that you are familiar with, and there will be no "surprises".

Overall in the last few months, the Z-CoiL warehouse inventory has dropped 40% to 70% in overall styles, colors, and sizes*. Worst hit sizes are Womens 7-9 and Mens 10-12. They will no longer make Womens 5, or 11, or Mens 8, 14, or 15. If you fall into one of those sizes there is a real possibility that this may be your last chance to get Z-CoiL shoes, as currently designed. Many authorized Z-CoiL distributors around the country, including us, have asked Z-CoiL HQ for definite answers to these questions and have not received any answers, other than..."the next 6 months will be painful as inventories decrease and new styles are not yet available". We are not trying to scare you, but we know for many of our customers Z-CoiL is their best option for comfort footwear. We also know that currently there is a fairly severe shortage of certain Z-CoiL shoes. We want to make sure that we do everything we can to inform our customers about what is going on so that you can make an informed decision about whether to get another pair, or even find another brand of high quality comfort shoes that we carry. Z-CoiL availability by category:

a) Athletics - the athletic style called the Freedom is permanently out of stock in many colors and styles by 20% to 60% (For example: In Mens 10 only 3 of 6 colors are still left).

b)Casual Dress Styles for women - the Taos Clog, Taos Mary Jane are permanently out of stock in various colors, sizes, and styles by 40% to 80%.

c)Casual Dress Styles for men - are permanently out of stock in all styles in M8, M10, M11 and in other sizes by 40% to 80%.

d)Casual Styles including the Z-Walkers and Hikers are permanently out of stock in various colors, styles, and sizes by 40% to 70%.

e)Workboots and Protective Toe boots and Protective Toe shoes are starting to run out of sizes and we don't know if they will be replaced by product from China.

This is a hard article to write, but we have been telling our customers to stock up on Z-CoiL shoes for the past several months, as we noticed an increase in out-of-stock shoes.

The good news is that footwear technologies are evolving, and new technologies like Joya, Tenevis and others are offering new and innovative solutions for foot, leg and back pain.
